Texas REALTORS® supported five of the 14 proposed constitutional amendments in Tuesday’s statewide election—and all five passed! The association remained neutral on the other nine propositions.
“This is a great day for Texas real estate,” said 2023 Texas REALTORS® Chairman Marcus Phipps. “We proudly supported these measures, which protect private-property rights, shore up the state’s infrastructure, and save Texans thousands of dollars on property taxes. We commend the Texas Legislature for getting these issues on the ballot, and we are glad the voters agreed.”
Just over 2.5 million of the state’s 17.7 million voters showed up, which puts turnout at about 14.4%.
Since its adoption in 1876, the Texas Constitution has been amended 530 times. Since 1971, voters have approved 323 amendments to the state constitution, of which 281 were approved in odd-year elections. Since 2000, voters have approved 139 of the 144 amendments presented to them in odd-numbered years (96.5%). Here’s how your REALTOR®-supported amendments did by the numbers:

Please explain and provide examples of how these propositions will make our lives better.
Most of the props only help hide money and payoffs to big donors… From local to federal, the amount of fraud is overwhelming. And the media and the politicians continue to divide us in order to keep the spotlight off of the ruling class. Once you see through the veil of race, gender, and party affiliation, it becomes crystal clear…
That would be a question for your local representative
Yes, I would also like to hear the examples of how these will improve our lives. With the exception of number 4, I am very disappointed that we were supporting these. Prop 6 supports water fracking. Prop 1 removes protection for water supplies, animals and other important factors.
