In 2016, 64% of the cybercrime victims the FBI’s Chicago field office responded to were related to real estate transactions or title companies. And the FBI reports that 95% of cybersecurity threats nationwide come from email phishing.

REALTOR® Magazine attended the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s Cybersecurity Conference in Chicago, which focused on threats to the real estate industry, and reported on cybercrime threats and tips from experts on how to keep your email safe.
